Shield Country Privacy Statement

Shield Country is still being built. This statement explains what information we collect through this site, why we use it, and the choices you have.
We try to collect only what is useful for operating Shield Country, understanding interest in what we are building, and staying in touch with people who have asked to hear from us.
Information you provide
If you join Follow the Build or submit one of our product-interest forms, we may collect information such as your name, email address, the product or concept you are interested in, and information associated with your submission.
We also keep records related to your consent to receive communications from Shield Country. These records help us respect your choices and maintain an appropriate record of how consent was provided.
Submitting a form is separate from your cookie choices. You can reject optional analytics and marketing technologies and still join Follow the Build or express interest in a product.
How we use this information
We use information submitted through the site to:
send updates you have asked to receive;
understand which Shield Country concepts people are interested in;
improve the site and our product direction; and
maintain appropriate consent and business records.
We do not sell the contact information you submit through our forms.
Analytics, cookies and advertising
Shield Country uses a few different tools to understand how the site is being used.
Framer Analytics provides basic site analytics as part of the platform that runs this website. Framer describes its analytics as anonymized and GDPR-compliant. It does not use cookies or persistent identifiers. We use it to understand basic site activity, and it operates independently of your optional cookie choices.
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to better understand how visitors use the site, including which product concepts and parts of the site are being explored. We also use Google Analytics together with Google Ads to measure the performance of our advertising and understand whether ads are leading to meaningful activity on the site.
With your consent to Marketing, we use Meta technologies to understand whether our advertising is working and how people interact with Shield Country after seeing an ad.
Cookiebot manages these optional analytics and marketing choices. Depending on where you are visiting from, you may be asked to choose which optional technologies you are comfortable with. You can change your choices at any time using Cookie Settings in the site footer.
Rejecting non-essential technologies does not prevent you from using the site or submitting a Shield Country form.
Services we use
We rely on service providers to operate the site and the systems behind it. These currently include:
Framer for the website and built-in analytics;
Google for analytics, advertising measurement through Google Ads, and form-related data storage;
Meta for advertising measurement; and
Cookiebot for consent management.
These providers may process information in countries outside Canada.

You can unsubscribe from Shield Country emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in our messages.
You can change your analytics and marketing choices at any time using Cookie Settings in the site footer.
If you need to correct personal information you submitted through one of our forms, contact Shield Country and we will update it where reasonably possible.
How we protect information
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold.
Information submitted through our forms is stored in password-protected services and is not published publicly. Access is limited to the services and people needed to operate Shield Country.
